To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the SPS Cooperative in 2019, our photo contest looked for images that show SPS connecting the world: its people, places and cultures. There were 22 entries from employees of postal operators of UPU's SPS Cooperative who expressed their creativity promoting the SPS brand. Three staff from the International Bureau judged the competition.
Thank you to all those countries who took part. The winning photographs, alongside all entries, will be displayed at the International Bureau during the SPS General Assembly and 20th anniversary celebration.
All entrants were asked to briefly describe their entry.
Winning entry - Vanuatu
Vanuatu is a small island nation with more than 110
distinctly different cultures in 65 inhabited
islands out of 83. Selected from these islands I
have attributed my traditional culture way of
dressing into promoting the SPS brand. The image
signifies accessibility of a modernized service of
delivery that has reached out to the far ends of the
earth that has limited access to resources such as
delivery service.
Joint second place - Latvia
There are hearts that can be conquered by Latvian
folk culture. And there are places that can be
reached by mail shipments only thanks to SPS
Cooperative global network. Here’s to the next
twenty years of SPS Cooperative!
Joint second place - Georgia
The idea of the photo is to show how the main postal
person (courier) can build connections regardless of
scales.
Third place - Viet Nam
The image of SPS postman delivering an e-commerce
item shows us the interface between old and new,
tradition and modern – Vietnamese culture is still
intact among the dynamic Viet Nam economy.

drawings which represents the people of Guyana.
Guyana’s culture is influenced by Africans, Indians,
Amerindians, British, Chinese, and Dutch Culture.

travelling all over the world, connecting people to

Managua, neoclassical work in the centre of the old
